This is the end for 'The Doors'

Original members of The Doors Ray Manzarek and Robbie Krieger have been ordered to cease performing or promoting themselves with the name 'The Doors'. The former keyboardist and guitarist have been performing and touring under the moniker The Doors of the 21st Century and using unauthorized images of the band, which other surviving member, drummer John Densmore, and the family of the late Jim Morrison claim is diluting the legacy and reputation of the original band. The California Supreme Court ordered the pair to pay damages of US$5 million to Densmore and Morrison's family. The pair will continue with the new name Riders On The Storm.
