In 1997, Daniel Sanders, Brad Campbell, Zoran Trivic and Rob Nassif came together in Perth to form Gyroscope. After signing to FMR in 2002, the boys spent the next year touring nationally and released two EPs. In 2004, Gyroscope delivered their long-awaited debut album Sound Shattering Sound. Garnering praise from critics and punters alike, Sound Shattering Sound featured live hits 'Doctor, Doctor', 'Safe Forever' and 'Take this for Granted'. Gyroscope impressed local and international audiences alike, touring with Dashboard Confessional - Chris Carrabba personally asked for Gyroscope after listening to their debut EP - and Blink 182 whilst gracing festival stages in 2004 at the Big Day Out, Rock-It and Homebake. Gyroscope headed to LA in June 2005 to record their sophomore album Are You Involved? with their new best friend and legendary producer, Mark Trombino. After extensive touring on the back of the album in 2006, the band took eight months to write and record their next release. The band's third album Breed Obsession debuted at number one on the ARIA charts upon its release in 20008 and saw the band play sell-out national tours and land a spot on the bill at the Big Day Out.
