Channelling the solo Rage

Two members from revolutionary rock outfit Rage Against the Machine are set to release solo albums in the coming months. Frontman Zack de la Rocha is finally releasing his much-anticipated debut solo material, while guitarist Tom Morello is releasing his sophomore effort. De la Rocha's project, under the moniker One Day as a Lion, sees the Rage frontman in collaboration with former The Mars Volta drummer Jon Theodore. According to the duo, the release is "a sonic reflection of the visceral tension between a picturesque fabricated cultural landscape, and the brutal socioeconomic realities it attempts to mask". Ok... The five-track EP is due for a July 21 release. Meanwhile Rage guitarist Tom Morello will release his second solo album under the slightly amended name Tom Morello: The Nightwatchman. Entitled The Fabled City, it is due out September 30.
